On Friday 16th October, we’re inviting schools, businesses, community groups and individuals across the UK to take part in Wear Pink / Purple Day in support of Amelia’s Light.
Taking part is simple. Wear something pink, purple, or both, and make a small donation to help families facing the unimaginable reality of having a seriously ill child in hospital.
Every pound raised helps Amelia’s Light work towards providing emergency financial support, emotional guidance and practical help to families when they need it most.
Pink and purple represent compassion, hope, strength and kindness. By wearing these colours together, you’re helping shine a light on families who are often going through the hardest days of their lives.
Whether you’re wearing a pink tie, purple hoodie, colourful trainers or going all out with your colleagues or classmates, every participant helps spread awareness.
Everyone is welcome.
Whether you’re hosting a whole-school event or simply wearing your favourite purple jumper to work, you’ll be making a difference.
Make your day even more memorable by adding a little extra fundraising.
Every activity, big or small, helps us reach more families.
Use these files to support, promote or take part in this event.

By wearing pink or purple, you're doing more than changing your outfit for the day. You're helping to raise awareness of the challenges faced by families whose children are seriously ill and spending extended periods in hospital.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps Amelia's Light move closer to providing practical support, emotional reassurance and hope to families when they need it most.
Whether your school, workplace or community raises Β£10 or Β£1,000, every contribution makes a real difference.
Money raised through Wear Pink / Purple Day will support Amelia's Light's mission to help families caring for a seriously ill child during long hospital stays.
Your support could help provide:
π₯ͺ Food vouchers, giving parents access to meals without worrying about the extra costs of being away from home.
π Care and wellbeing packs, containing everyday essentials and thoughtful items to provide comfort during long days and nights on the ward.
π Emergency practical support, helping families manage unexpected expenses such as travel, parking or other essential costs that arise during a hospital stay.
π€ Compassionate guidance and signposting, connecting families with trusted organisations and services that can provide additional support.
Every act of kindness helps ease some of the pressure families experience during an incredibly difficult time.
By taking part in Wear Pink / Purple Day, you're helping us build a future where no family has to face a hospital journey alone.
Thank you for standing with Amelia's Light and helping us bring hope, comfort and support to families who need it most. ππ©·
